Job Description

Mission

You will work on the rendering, styling and visual effects of the Minsar Create application, on touch (iOS, Android) and immersive devices (Magic Leap One, HoloLens, Oculus..). In this role, you will be working on implementing the various shaders and rendering effects, with a strong focus on performance, in order to deliver the most delighting user experience.

You will work with Unity's new rendering pipelines (LWRP/URP), environment understanding (ARFoundation, native device meshing), existing shaders (glTF). You will directly work on UI interactions and feedback, between Creators and their scenes, between the scene and the environment.

On a day-to-day basis, you will collaborate with teams creating the UI, UX of the Minsar platforms, along with AR/VR engineers and computer vision specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain 2D and 3D visual effects and shaders, either using native shader code or Unity's LWRP/UWP systems
  • Ensure your effects work well on the broadest set of devices and platforms (mobile AR, immersive AR and VR...) and integrates well with Minsar existing and upcoming features
  • Measure and limit the performance impact of the visual effects by optimizing your code for low compute and low memory environments

Preferred Experience

We require

  • 3+ years of professional experience in building real-time 3D user interface and visual effects
  • 3+ years of experience with using Unity3D and C# (.NET) is required
  • Has shipped and maintained products and services
  • Interest in XR, and mobile AR, either through personal or professional experience
  • Familiar with both C# and shaders

Ideally, with

  • A real passion for spatial computing and mixed reality
  • Dedication for user experience and a desire to see (and contribute to) the democratization of mixed reality technologies
  • Strong communication skills, with both team members, close users and partners
  • Has started playing with Unity's LWRP/URP
